Okay, I solved the problem of being overwhelmed by taking on more active challenges (challenges in my life I choose to have):
(1) Starting my "Nerd Blog of Tuscaloosa" with the intent of meeting all the coolest nerds I can find in and around Tuscaloosa, telling people about upcoming events, and involved in numerous different social circles. I got this idea from going to the tabletop gaming store "Down to Game" and happening to run into a former D&D dungeon master who was a highly creative person who understood great writing and great character development. We were soon joined by his friend, who was also a former dungeon master who created entire worlds and stories that were compelling and unique. I wondered, "why are these guys not the people designing side quests in video games? They're brilliant!" And it occurred to me that I'm not the only highly creative person that was unable to monetize their creativity. Among nerds, I find fellow "#deepthinkers" and I want to be friends with all of the chill ones!
(2) Starting this self-improvement journey blog that will be the foundation of everything else I do. If I ever want to see how far I've come, or remember lessons I have learned, I have my blog. I have my collection of writing. I am going to sharpen up my writing skills that won me first place and $8,000 10 years ago when I was in college and I was at the peak of structured writing.
(3) Going to Church and trying to former a deeper spiritual connection with God. I actually cried yesterday during service, as I prayed to Jesus for the strength to surrender, and for some reason, that made me cry, because I realized I did not have the strength to surrender, and that's why I was suffering. I felt Christ's embrace. It was beautiful. But I prayed that Jesus push me into his arms and not let go, because even if I did surrender to him, I would try to back control. No, I would try to back the illusion of control that used to make me feel safe, but now I see it is indeed an illusion and that no man can survive this life alone.
(4) Start a dating blog later and post your 12 standards that any woman you date must meet and then write about what type of relationship you want, read books about dating and relationships, write posts that contain powerful insights, and then start flirting with women you see during the day since you never go out at night. It'll motivate you to get in better shape, become more charismatic, always look your best, figure out what you are doing wrong, figure out how to fix it, and gradually become great at setting up coffee dates again. The modern dating world is such a mess but I suppose I'll write about how I go about navigating it in search of "true love," or the closest thing one can get to it. Love guided by wisdom and blessed by Christ. I suppose that's a remarkably good definition of "true love."
Well, now it is time to get to work. It is 2:44PM on Monday, November 17th, the year 2025 of our Lord Jesus Christ. I have spent most of the day writing and working on my hobbies, passions, interests, networking, and my plans to build new social circles and become a "social connector," as described in the book Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. I am going to start approaching real life like a video game, or D&D, and go on adventures, explore, have curiosity, "level up", and do something of real significance in this world while having fun. I do not have to slave away to be a good person. I can enjoy my life to the fullest every day and still make this world a much better place. In fact, I have to take care of my emotional needs if I ever wish to achieve "self-actualization."
And how can one ever become a charming and charismatic leader if they are never happy with their lives first? First, become happy and learn how to follow those close to God. Then learn how to lead.
So what do I want to do:
2. Read Life Planner
3. Revise Life Planner
Let's see if I can get be a responsible man, a real man, like men were built during the 1800s, not the 2000s, and attend to my responsibilities, balance them with my passion projects and entrepreneurial endeavors, and lead a life where every day brings something or someone new and exciting into my life! I need to get out of the house and go to the places where I can meet people! I need to go to tabletop gaming places to chill and other places where I can meet like-minded, social nerds.
3:07PM I finally finished revising this thing. Okay, time to get to work! God bless!
Oh, I only have 2 minutes left on the library computer. For someone, the Tuscaloosa library will only let you use a PC for a max of 90 minutes. Then, regardless of how empty the library might be, it kicks you off and you have to log back in to all your accounts you're using. Well, whatever, at least it fast and feels like an office environment so it is quite easy to work in. I like being surrounded by other people when I work too. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I MISSSS WORKING IN AN OFFICE! GET ME BACK IN THE OFFICE! After my sales job. Then marketing manager.
